The past weekend in Syria saw almost 300 civilian deaths, with violence the heaviest in the northern city of Aleppo. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says the United States must do more to separate so-called ‘moderate opposition’ forces from jihadist groups such as Al-Nusra, and that Russia is ready to provide air support for anti-terror efforts.
